So, what parts of the H1 are aluminum and what parts are steel?  Which areas are prone to rust?  Thanks!

From what I know the whole body unit is made of Aluminmum.

the roof and doors are steel (d.o.t. regs.) The body is alum. I hear the roof is prone to rust at the seams. Never had issues, or heard of any with the doors. Same potential problems as other vehicles underneath.

I have seen rust at the hinges of the tailgates and where antenae and other aftermarket items are bolted on. I have also seen corrosion ( not rust ) on the aluminum bodies.

Don't worry about rust. They do much better than almost anything else.

Rust is due to the 2 different metal types joining together if you get an Open top you dont have to worry about this. could always op for a Calgold top later and no worries either as long as the hardware you use is aluminum. since calgold tops are.

As others mentioned, the roof and doors are steel.  Tailgate hinges are aluminum, no rust worries there.
The aluminum body can suffer from oxidation, which can cause the paint to bubble up, but it won't eat away at the body like rust does - it will just make a chalky looking buildup.
