New River Canyon 12/8/07

JDEORTA -> New River Canyon 12/8/07 (12/9/2007 8:53:32 PM)

This trail was a blast, we had a few water crossings. Some of the water crossings were smal and others were questionable, we were about seven miles from the end of the trail when we came upon the biggest, deepest, strongest water crossing. After carfuly inspecting the water crossing we chose not to attempt it and turned around. Here are several pics. I have all of the pictures here : http://jdeorta.smugmug.com/gallery/3960818#230231643

JDEORTA -> RE: New River Canyon 12/8/07 (12/10/2007 6:12:56 PM)

We had a blast. We were bummed that we couldn't cross the last water crossing because we were so close to the end of the trail. An H1 would have fit nicley there, its too hard to get the guys in AZ with H1's to wheel them for some reason[:(] Erik, the guy that owns the black Land Rover is an awesome guy, very good spotter too. Hope it rains again next weekend[:D]

[:D] actually the Rover lead the trail, he crossed the first big water crossing then we had to turn around and I led the way back. I was pretty nervous coming back out though, going against the current made it a bit difficult. I know that both the H3 had water go up over the hood.
