ronb -> RE: New H1's (12/2/2007 7:50:27 AM)

GM bought the name to market the 2's and 3's, marketed the h1 to the wrong crowd, then priced them into extinction. When they first were released to the public they were pretty stripped down and basic, priced between $40k and $50k. So they've always been fairly expensive but not insane like the latter years. Now only a rare dealer cares to (or, more likely, can) work on them. here are some production numbers (from flashoffroad and lynch's site) -- there were only about 10,900 civi trucks (including commercial/industrial uses) from '92 to '03. '04 was a small production year with 246 Optimizer trucks built. There were 691 Alpha's built -- they all eventually sold by early '07. So, 11,837 total hummers (h1's). Alot less than most think. rb
