I think the hummer h1 legend will always live on and never be forgotten especially with so many fanatic and the way they were built. I doubt highly that they will bring it back. they discontinued it because of the lack of sales and the increasing cost of producing it. the price went up so high- it was last at aroug 140,000 i think and the estimated it would go up to 160,000 and there were simply not enough people willing to pay that mach for a 4X4 no matter how nice. they might have redisigned it to be newer and less expensive if the sales weren't that bad. but in the future cars like the ummer will be "classic cars" and people will be pulling them out of the junkyard and restoring them. maybe after a while theyll remake it lke the new mustang, charger, or camaro (modelled after classics)

I have heard from a number of Hummer salespeople that a new "stripped down" off road version might be in the works. When I have talked to the people at AMG they merely say that they have heard the same rumors but offer no information. I don't think it will happen but I would be the first in line to buy another if they did.

I hope this is true since all the flashiness and additions to the H1 priced it out of average joe's reach(Like myself). Although I would love to add a Dmax and Alison in my rig also some nice interior some guys do not and just want a stripped down model just to beat up on. And dont want to spend 130k on a ride they are just going to beat the hell out of.

Besides 05 when they made 0, 04s are the most rare hummers.  If im not mistaken, they also go the alpha interiors of the 06 cars and a much better turbo motor than the 03 and older H1s.  Please correct me if im spreading inaccurate info!

I love the 04 h1s that truly was a great year and is my second favorite next to the alpha. plus you can get that great a truck for around 80,000 , not too bad for a newer hummer and I've seen 2 on cars.com and 1 on ebay. also very rare are the factory slantbacks like other people have said and also the 2002 tenth anniversary editition which surprisingly there are a good amount for sale on the internet, one on ebay has great pictures. also I've hard that they made one slantback alpha.
