Trey124 -> NJ Hummer Happening Pics (11/26/2007 6:30:43 AM)

This was a dealer Hummer Happening on some private land in Waretown, NJ.  The place was great but it was mainly an ATV trails area.  There was around 14 Hummers that showed up more H3s than H2s.  Alot of sand dunes and moguls, good play areas with mud and some good hills to climb up and down.  The guy that owns the land lets a limited number of Atvs on his 100 acre plot each weekend, so we had the place to oursleves for the most part.  Everything went off great except 1 H2 that got stuck in a mud puddle, they were in a different group from me, I didn't get pictures of that but that they had water all the way up to the bottom of the seats inside the vehicle.  However in my group we had an H3, with a 1st time driver try to go through the same mud hole that I went through, only he chose a different line and floored the gas turnerd left and sunk.  Than he paniced put the H3 into park and the engine cut out. It took two H2s and some brave souls to attach some straps to his vehicle to pull him out.  His cup holders where filled with water and the rear seats where sumbereged about half way up the back of the seats. We all had a great time otherwise and the guy that got stuck had to abandon his vehicle but he said that he is still going to go wheelin, after he gets another H3.
Here are the pics:

We had a great fall day, temp was around 54 with no wind.  The dealer rep that was with us told the guy that it isn't coverred under warranty but they might be able to help him out.  After someone crawling under the truck to pull out some cable so they could put the truck into neutral they tow-strapped it to the guy's staging area where I'm told a tow truck is going to pick it up.  The dealer did take the guy back to get him a loaner vehicle, so atleast he has something to drive for now.

Quick update, I spoke with the dealer today and they told me that the H3 was totalled.  The guy was back in the next day buying another fully loaded silver H3 and was still going to drive it offroad, at least he's learned something from his actions.

samuraimartin -> RE: NJ Hummer Happening Pics (12/6/2007 3:31:46 PM)

Did his insurance cover it?

Muddydawg75 -> RE: NJ Hummer Happening Pics (12/6/2007 3:55:22 PM)
