I haven’t said much on the forums. But I thought this would be a good opportunity to share our new intake design for the 2007 H3x to all of you and get your feedback. Our company “E-Shift Performance” has designed a prototype intake flow system for the Hummer H3. We mainly design products for imports, but since we had a H3 in the group. We thought to ourselfs, "what the heck" let's try it. So now we are estimating that this product will produce a 7% increase in horsepower. We haven’t dyno tested the truck yet, but we are hoping to have that done soon. We have also added a magnaflow exhaust system as well. Our future design will have a more streamlined design, and cleaner look. We will be also adding a polished heat shield.

Well, at least it is shiny?  Not a fan of the filter behind a heat shield in the corner thing, but I get where your coming from.

Why is that?  Just because it has been done before or is there a performance reason?

Also, blackonblack...have any further developments on your H3 products or a dyno sheet for them?

Shiny is good.  Probably handles the heat better than plastics.

Sorry for the delay. I'm trying to find a "good" all wheel dyno shop in Jersey. At the shop we only have two wheel dyno.

You got a little kink there in your tubing are you going to straighten that out?
That would effect flow.
Is that 3.5" Pipe? Steel or Aluminum?
Did you replace the MAS with a larger one and re-tune the PCM for it? Or did you adapt the OEM MAS.
Is there a velocity Stack within the filter, because it looks like a 6" neck.
Metal absorbs and retains more heat than plastics by the way.
Looks Okay.
I would have used a 22 degree angle pipe vice the 45 and tryed to fit it in there straight. If you would have shortened the MAS side of the pipe and lengthened the TB side it I don't think you would have that kink, JMO.

GunnyRet,

Thanks for your feedback. Currently this pipe is just a test pipe; and we are looking into different designs to improve airflow and off course style.
To answer your question it is a 3.5 pipe and its aluminum. The MAS AF is the OEM. It was repositioned for a cleaner look. With the velocity stack, we have a separate filter attached.

We thought about the same angles you had mentioned. We will see how or if we can incorporate the degree angle onto our new design.

Thanks for feedback
E-Shift
