I was thinking about getting a dvd system in my H3, you know monitors in the head rest's and all. I don't have kids and don't do a lot of road trips, and was wondering how much do REALLY use your dvd system?

Had one in the H2. Used the DVD once in 4 years. Did watch the occasional football game on the TV though.

Unless you have kids and spend a lot of time in your car, I do not see the need for it (only for show.)  My .02  If you have kids, they can stay occupied for hours while traveling and is a good investment.

I don't have one in the 3 yet.  First part of next year I'm planing on doing a PC with a rear monitor.

I do have a DVD player in my Explorer and use it alot for the kids.  Wife will ocaionaly watch movies from the pasenger seat too.  I've got all my CDs backed up on a handfull of DVDs which comes in handy too.

Ditto, I have 3 kids and even though there were 2 different movie options for them they would still fight over it, so I didn't get it in my new one. I remember having to sit in the backseat turned around acting like you were shooting other cars or playing the "I spy" game or Alphabet game with street signs and car plate numbers. DVD's! . J/k, I think they are cool just don't need them unless you have the kids back there AND they can agree OR don't have more than 2 kids. lol
