I purchased a used H3 from a dealer a couple years ago and realized the wheel lock key for the spare tire did not come with the car. The dealer is saying there is nothing they can do for me. Has anyone tried to remove a locking lug nut without the key? How can I lock my spare tire for future potential theft without this? I consider myself lucky not needing my spare tire so far!

I have the same problem. Bought a 2008 H3 two weeks ago. The jack case in the back door has a key pocket in it. Funny thing for me is that the key was not for the locks on the spare or the rest of the wheels.
Did you solve your problem?
Where did you find a key?

I had this problem once when I got my rear end rebuilt on my old Camaro. The shop just beat on a smaller socket and used that to get the lock off. I had to replace the locks, and the sockets for mechanic. But it worked.

 

You have to READ before you post. You are asking a question that was posted 6 months ago to somebody that has all of 1 post (ie. they ain't here to answer).

Crooks can get off a lock nut in less that a minute, lots of ways to solve this super simple issue, one is to go to any tire store.
