Default Sherpa Snorkel-Kit

This kit was a simple install even without paperwork. Everything seem to be the real stuff but the antenna relocation kit is on the wobbly side. Amazon will say 18-22 days for delivery but I got mine in 8 days. Also I don't have the OEM air box so I had to rework it but it's water tight.

For $208 bucks and 8 days later I'm happy with it, just need to fix the antenna kit.

Going on about a month that I had it on and I still like it and it's holding up great. One thing I know for sure is that when my RPM's is over 2500 my intake temp in 2 degrees hotter then the out side temp. I would say if you want this set up go for it!!!

Default practical, useful?

a quick measurement, 42 inches, shows that before water gets near the point that this unit would have any effect, the fan, power steering pump, underhood fuse box,most/all of the engine would be submerged. the under body diffs, tranny, tcase would need vents reworked.
unless the doors were totally water tight you would be sitting in water above your hips and most inside electronics would be soaked, like the bcm that seems to be a problem with a little leakage from the sunroof. goodby monsoon amp and speakers. carpeting needs to come out or mold will be there soon huh?

so what is it for other than show?

dont go near the water!!,,just saying

i forgot, the alternator under water too.

what was up with the antenna kit?? I just ordered this kit, and was wondering what issues you came across. I ordered mine directly from Australia though.

Mine came form Australia also and the box was pretty jacked up. The antenna bolt is to small and allows it to rotate half in inch. It gets the job done and also with my flexible rubber antenna it help when the trees want to wipe it.
