Default Line-X bed spray

I was thinking of getting the bed sprayed with Line-X and moving the plastics bed liner that is fading from sun. Has anyone removed their bed liner? I will keep the bed caps and tie down points, but the bed liner itself, is again. Just fading into a milky grey off color and it looks like crap.

Thanks in advance.

N8!

I haven't, but I'd probably start by trying rattle can bedliner over what's there. No idea if it's flexible enough to deal with the plastic flexing, but if it's between that and completely ditching the plastic it's worth a shot.

There is a member on another forum that did just what you are talking about and it looked great!

It can and has been done before. You will also gain a little more usable cargo area on the bed too. I'll try to find the pix I have.

Note to other T owners. To cut down on the fading treat your plastics and buy a tonneau cover.

I removed the bottom piece, had them Line-X the bottom of the bed and about 1/3 of the way up the sides and then put the plastic sides back in along with the tie downs. I kept the caps except the tailgate, which I had Line-X over the top, where the cap would go. I then used a Diamondback cover.

Works well because the tailgate cap and plastic bottom are much too fragile for any real use, but I still retained use of the wall storage.

Pardon the dirt, the bed and my truck need a serious wash.
The gap between the diamondback and tailgate is usually filled with the diamondback seal you see to the sides, but it came loose. I need to find a better adhesive for it.
