Is the 4.10:1 gearingonly available on the Alpha leather option (not standard), regardless of whether you get offroad package or not? Meaning, say I get an H3T Alpha but decide not to get the Alpha Leather, would I still get the 4.10 gearing and 145 amp alternator?

I'm trying to determine EXACTLY what the difference is (or what you're paying for) on the leather, besides the obvious, to pay $3,025 additional...I got some information from the Hummer site, but more from doing the ;window sticker' view on the dealer search and when I found this possible difference.

So, if I were to get a 'cloth' Alpha, what axle ratio(s) would I be getting and what alternator?



(the other differences I see are home remote, lighted vanity mirrors, chrome wheels, leather seating, 8-way power/heated seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, shifter and oversized carpeted floormats) <while this stuff is neat, it's the axle and alternator I'm more concerned with.

The lack of dealer knowledge is frustrating and glad I'm doing as much research I can first

 

Gearing is only available with the off road pkg. leather or not

 

All Alphas (V8s) have the 4:10 gearing, 3.7L I5s have the 4:56 ratio.

Off Road Package comes with the 4.03:1 transfer case and front/rear lockers aand 33s.

Not sure on the alternator. Lux/Leather or Alpha (V8) options might call for the alt. upgrade?

Buy the way, get the power seats even if you get the cloth they are comfy!

Thanks, guys...I thought I read somewhere that all the V8's had 4.10, so that makes sense (couldn't find it though when I wrote this posting).

I'm not sure how much to trust the online "window stickers" anyway, but those differences stood out when comparing cloth to leather.

I'll probably get the leather anyway, as it's hard enough to find the color(s) I want (two of which are nowhere to be found ), let alone the exact options I want...doesn't even look like I can order anything right now?

btw - this site must be going thru upgrades...swore I saw a couple replies before these.
