BTW, rascole, your rims are nice looking; I would contact the manufacturer and see if you can get the rings to make them hub-centric. What's the downside?
Wow!
Where does it say "not recommended"? Why would I need hub centric rings things when my rims have a 4.25" bore? It adds NO stress to the lugs. The clamping force of the lug nuts in the lug seats is what mechanically centers and secures the wheel in place on the hub. As long as the mounting face of the rim mates up to the face of the rotor you are good, the tapered lugs center the rim, period. Proper tightening of lug nuts is always key for any installation. Only reducing your backspacing will add lateral stress to the bearings. 10 plus trucks over the past 30+ years and always with aftermarket rims and never an issue. So add them if you want.
