Default Wax

Greetings, everybody:

I would like to knowyour opinions: Which one is better, and safer, for my H3 paint, pure carnaubawax or synthetic wax (polymer)?

H3 2007, black

Both are safe. The synthetic sealant which is usually called wax will last longer. Some use a sealant then top it with a carnuba wax. I just used Mequires Ultimate Wax yesterday (it is actually a sealant) and was impressed. Easy on easy off and won't stain trim. The trick is a very very thin coat

Thanks, LEAFS.

Is this the "wax" you mentioned?

No that's not it but I have heard good things of the NXT. The Ultimate Liquid Wax comes in a box with a bottle of the wax an applicator pad and a very good microfiber towel.

Can I make a suggestion. Get the Mequiars Clay Kit and clay your Hummer. After claying use a high quality polish, then a high quality wax. My red H3 looked fantastic after I finished. Also, before that, pick up some touch up paint and take car of yourr chips, etc...

agree on polish/wax. i use turtle wax polish on the red and the window glass. its terrific. easy to apply and remove. its a workout to do glass in and out but worth it. it glistens! and water falls off.
later if i have the energy i do a good liquid wax. just did it in july first time this yr thanks to algore winter.

ill try in sept/oct for the next 6 mo freeze out.

seems like any wax/polish messes with the black stuff huh?

What is the purpose of claying?
