Transmission coolant line replacement?

Transmission coolant line replacement?
Well, I had a small transmission fluid leak in the line just before it connects to the radiator. I wanted to see exactly where it was leaking from, so I wiped off all the fluid and gunk. Fired it up and fluid started to spray all over. Found exactly where the leak was! Didn't see that coming! Replacing the line seem pretty simple, accept for getting at the connections at the tranny. Any advice, other than take it to a tranny shop?

I had the same leak not too long ago. I purchased a good, small pipe cutter at Home Depot and was able to neatly cut the line. It's going to take some effort and you'll get some fluid all over your arm. I used 3/8 ID hose with stainless steel hose clamps.

I just repaired mine a few months ago. Replaced the rubber and the lines at the rad. The lines are held in by a clip. You can purchase an aftermarket 3" repair line that will fit into the fittings at the rad and transmission (also held in by the same style clip). I left the original lines attached to the transmission. Used a grinder to remove the crimps over the rubber and you won't need to cut the lines. Make sure you use rubber transmission cooler line and not gas line. The fittings for the rad and transmission can be purchased both aftermarket and dealer.
