Default Torsion Bar Adjust...I know READ FIRST!

Well, I've done the search and read the threads however there is one thing I don't understand about the adjustment.

Which cross member do you use for the jacking of the front end to do this? I saw on one of the threads something about thecrossmember behind the skid plate. Is that the one at the aft end of the skid plate that the skid plate is mounted to, and I guess remove the plate before jacking if so,or do you usethe one under the transfercase? I know it can be done without jacking the front end, however I thinkI'm going to jack it to get the weight off. I'll be adjusting these in the morning so any help or thoughtsabout thiswould be great.[&:]

I believe I jacked on the rail where the step rails would attach to. Its far enough out that you dont have to move the skid plate...but youll have to jack once for each side since it only gets one tire up.

I didn't jack the front end up at all and they were still very easy to adjust.....you not liting the entire weight of the truck when turning the bolt....so it's real easy wven with the front end on the ground.

Make sure that you put a mark on the nut and the frame and count the turns so you know how many. That way you can always go back to the stock.
