Hello,Is anyone aware of atailgate lock for the H3T? I have a Diamondback cover on my truck and that locks, but the dealer is not aware of a GM lock option.

 

YES THEY DO!!!!

I have a Diamondback cover and thought what good will a locking cover do if I can't lock the gate?!

My dealer got it for me its made by Pop & Lock www.popandlock.net

I honestly don't know first hand. I was told it wasn't hard,but my dealer put it on for me when they were installing a couple of other items. I looked at the instructions on the web site, doesn't look too bad....but we all knowthings arenot always as easy as the instructions makethemout to be.

 

Thanks for the information. I too have the Diamondback cover and was interested in how to lock the gate when the covers were locked. I will check it out,

 

FYI - I emailedPop and Lock, this was their reply.

"Thank you fcor your inquiry,
Our Hummer lock is similar in design to the Silverado.
The inserts that hold the lock in the
Hummer bezel are still in test but should have 500 hour salt spray approval by mid January.
Our tsailgate lock part number is PL1300H.The price is $66.69 deliverd anywhere in North America."

I told them I'm interested in purchasing one. I'll let you know how hard it is to install in a few weeks.

Wow! I find that interesting that say they are still in testing, I have one on me truck right now and its been there for about a month!?

It fits perfect and I have not had a single problem with it,paid$79 installedhow odd! [sm=smiley13.gif]

 

FYI. DiamondBack has this same pop n lock for the H3T available now for $55. Their number is on their site www.h3tcover.com 800.935.4002

 

I got my pop n lock! I didn't hear back from the mfg, so I called Diamondback and ordered one from them. It came 2 days later. Installation was very easy, it took about 15 minutes.
