Hi, My boss asked me to sell his daughters h3, i put it on craigslist.
We are getting low ball offers. After my wife and I drove it, we are considering buying it as a weekend grocery getter.

The factory warranty recently ended, he had lots of things serviced, throttle body serviced supposedly very pricey. Just had new plugs, wires, battery, replaced front bearings, removed replaced rear sway bar.

It would be a spare car. It was so much fun with our two kids.
He will sell it to me for $9,500. I figure I could drive it 1-2 yrs and not lose to much money? What do you think ?

We live just outside Chicago.
Wife drives 2010 Cadillac SRX, I drive 2014 Nissan Altima.

If you were me, Should I buy this for $9,500 ?

Just curious what was done to the throttle body? A throttle body service should be done about once a year if I remember correctly. I did mine every six months because we put so many miles on it. Takes less than 20 minutes and costs about 5 bucks to do yourself. So I'm not sure what he did to the throttle body to make that service expensive unless he replaced the throttle body

 

That is one LONG list of repairs! ... Also, I'm having problems with my H. I mean seriously all these were repairs?

 

I got nothing but problems with my 09 Alpha! Don't buy .... Some Hummers can be lemons, and I think mine is one!

 

It looks like they took car e of it. They took it in to the dealer to get everything fixed under warranty. Looks like all of the standard 06 H3 issues have been addressed.

The rig looks clean and the price is very nice.

Please, don't listen to H3Ray. He has some issues with a used vehicle. He didn't know the previous owner or how it was taken care of.

Our '06 bought new was still cherry even at the 160k mile mark when it was totalled do to an accident. No real issues with it other than the typical H3 teething pain weaknesses all fixed under warranty, It's replacement, a very low mileage '09 that was used as a promo vehicle for a local club/restaurant, hasn't been as kind. On the positive side, all of it's problems so far are due to the previous owner installing every single accessory ever developed for these trucks. The aftermarket warranty we purchased along with it paid for itself already during our first year of ownership.

Ditch your Altima, buy the H3 and also pick up a matching yellow Solstice GXP so you can have year round driving fun regardless of conditions!
