Default Passenger SIde Heating Switch design error?

I noticed that the switch on the passenger side to turn on heating of the seat does not light up. The one on the driver side does. It turns kind of red/orange. I asked the dealer when I went to pick it up (when I purchase it) and they did not know. They just went to another one to compare and did the same thing. So, is this correct, having one type of switch on the passenger side than the one on the driver side (one that lights up and one that does not)?

Thanks

I have read in some forums that the passenger side sealtbelt must be engaged for the seat heater to work.

Skoal is correct, the heating elements, and the switch light also will not light up unless the switch is on, and the seatbelt is engaged.

my daughter found that the first time she got in. of course, your time in the back seat isn't spent looking at the center console . . . . . .

They light up? I can hardly get my hand down therelet alone myfat head to checkif the lamp is on. With our H3, when the seats are hot, the switch is set to on. When the seats are cold, the switch is set to off.
