Default New to the forum, traded in a touareg for 06 H3

Hey, I traded in my 05 touareg with air suspension and center and rear lockers for the H3. The touareg was costing around 6k per year just in repairs. I also wanted the h3 since its inception and with the news of them going away, well I had to get one. I must say that leaving probably the most technologically advanced, off road capable, suv I am so damn happy with how simple and utilitarian the suv is. I hated the angle of the windshield and either pulling under the traffic light or staying way back in the lane so I thought up a little 9 dollar fix that also allows me to see out the back with great ability. I was actually afraid to parallel park this thing unless there was a ton of room. The blind spots on this truck are not spots but huge dead zones. I went to pep boys bought the camper clear square for the back of a camper or RV. I cut it to 75/25. The 25% piece goes top down (the opposite of the back window) up on the windshield right at the top of the window so that its not in the way of regular day to day driving. It allows me to pull up to traffic lights as we all did before the H3. The rear 75% goes in the passenger side top closest to the third brake light. I cant tell how much better it is with that in the rear window. Its a huge difference for 10 dollars and change. Here are some pictures of it at night with the front windshield.

First picture I have my cell phone right up to the windshield where I would be sticking my head at a bad angle to see the light. Second one is sitting all the way back and in the piece of the plastic its showing the the full intersection lights with the strain you can clearly see the left arrow red and the two lanes green, and its not at all noticeable to anyone unless you point it out.

Okay, so this one I am at the traffic light and normally would be not able to see it. and the other one is the garbage can I almost hit behind me. Anyhow for 9 bucks its pretty cheap and at least you have some vision back.
