There's a lot of reasons for the proximity sensors.
For example, my mother has herniated discs in her neck, so turning around is difficult. Even with the camera, it's a really nice addition if there's something you don't notice.

As for Nafta, that's North American Free Trade Agreement. China's in Asia. It' only effected trade deals between Canada, the USA, & Mexico. Blame big corporate America. They run both parties, anyways...

NAFTA has absolutely NOTHING to do with China! Where do you get these things from?

I just realized the front dome light! That is an awesome mod.

I'm really ticked off that GM did not have this installed in the factory. It looks easy. I guess you just cut a few holes that match the rear one & splice into the line powering the rear one as well?

I've been thinking about doing this & it's now on the mod list down the road.
I don't really have a choice. My mom thinks your mom's H3 is bad ***, so it's gotta be done!

How have those rear sensors been working for you? Are they accurately detecting objects where you have them positioned? Does the spare tire mount cause false alarms?

Sensors we're working great since i installed them and they pretty good on detecting objects. Moms really like 'em. No, the spare tire never caused any problems or false alarm with the sensors.

Thanks Citiboy. Am about to install the ones I have then. I thought I saw a photo of your placement of the four sensors. Will have to look for that. I think that placing the two inner ones lower in the bumper will help with spare tire false alarms.
