Default Help with 2 CE Lights

These just popped up. I have a K&N intake/air filter system and thought when it would get dirty or the throttle body gets dirty that one of these would pop up, but just want to be sure that's the potential cause.

Here is what I am getting:

P0449
EVEP Emission Control System Vent Malf

P0171
System Too Lean
(Bank 1)

2006 H3 Base, manual tranny, 95k miles. 5 cyl. Catalyst. K&N intake and filter. otherwise stock.

I need help understanding what problems these codes might indicate, like the evap solenoid. what the heck is that!

Called Oreilly -

They can order a canister vent solenoid or they have a vapor canister purge valve. Which is the correct part for the PO449 code?

One is $23 and the other $50.

First pull the connector to the vapor canister and check for voltage. Clean the **** out of the connector, the contacts and the canister side also. Then reconnect and see if you still have an issue.

If so then go to YouTube and look up the method for cleaning out the evap canister and filter before you spend any $ on replacing anything.

I chased this one for a while and it was corroded wires on the pigtail side. Nothing wrong with either solenoid nor canister.
