40 would probably be much better. You could do a chalk test to decide on psi though.

40 should be good, 80 psi huh? Sounds like e rated tires, the 80 is max pressure for max weight load for tires. Those tires will hold up more than you are suppose to carry with your h3 unless you have an alpha I believe.

Default Tire Suggestions - 07 H3

Howdy,

Read through the thread, but still not sure which direction to go. I am looking for new tires and looking for suggestions based on the following;

-Looking for a somewhat aggressive looking tire
-However, mostly drive on roads / highway
-Currently have P265 /75/ 16's
-Live in Texas, so snow and ice is not really that much of an issue here

Somewhat budget conscious

Thanks for your input!

Goodyear Duratracs, Kelly Safari TSR, General Grabber and Grabber AT2, Dick Cepek FC2, BFG TA. Did I miss one?

If you want aggressive looking and inexpensive, try Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. They aren't the newest or best at anything but they are decent and won't break the bank while still looking/being aggressive.

I sell tires, and I am currently driving on AT2's, LT285-75/16. Excellent tire and reasonably priced.

RSC, Hummerz, thanks for your input. I like the General Grabber AT2, looks like Discount is out of stock on them.

Hummerz, are you losing a lot of tread when driving city / highway?

Thanks!

Only have approx 3k miles on them, however all are still showing 17/32nds on my tread gauge. New, the 285's come with 17/32nds, the 265's only come with 16/32nds. Get yourself the 285's and enjoy.
