Default Grinding noise in the T case

Adv '06 H3 with ~100K mi

Since I bought the truck there's been a grinding noise when moving. Loud enough to be heard inside and outside. I took it to the dealer for regular maintenance some weeks ago and asked them to check all the drivetrain. They told me everything was Ok but MAYBE they'll need to change a seal from the T-case that was supposedly leaking in a minor quantity. They didn't tell me it was something important to worry about and that everything was in good condition.. So I assumed this noise was no big deal. Told another mechanic about the sound and he said it was the driver's side hub.

BUUUUT... just a few hours ago I discovered how to shift the T case to neutral, and Voilá! moved to D and the grinding noise was there! I was able to go down and hear it closely, It's coming from the T case... sounds really bad IMO..

I want to know more about the problem before taking it to dealer or a mechanic, maybe is an easy fix, maybe is worth to get the guys in the dealer to do it.

I took a video, i'll post it in a few minutes

Thanks in advance!

if its a teardown/parts,rebuild, i always first figure its better to get a used one . its simpler and no time consuming inside work, expensive time.
inside parts will add up in a hurry, more than a used one complete.

I agree, but I'd like to know if it's necessary to replace the Tcase. I've been driving without issues and currently i'm on a road trip away from the dealer...
