I took the H3 by the Chevy dealer today to schedule an appointment for them to look at the leaking front diff oil seals and CV boots that are about to go. They informed me that my H3 was bought originally in Dec of 07 and I had all of Oct and Nov (to worry about something breaking) before the warranty was gone. I've been lucky to not have any problems with my H3 aside from the radiator I changed out myself. Looks like I will soon be handling all my own work on it anyway. Glad I didn't get a real lemon! Now I don't have to worry anymore about what GM will or won't fix under warranty or where to get it done. Maybe it's time to start thinking about that monster IFS like Bebe's? The guys at work are for sure gonna try to convince me to swap in Dana 44's!

 

I am very close to my 50k warranty running out. Then in March 2013 the 5/100 runs out. I will be in a 2010 H3 Alpha by then for a DD and use Mr. Blue for OffRoad fun with 37s! I'll be looking for a very late "in service date" on the 2010! Well at least that's the plan right now!

 

Yeah, the wife has been eyeing a T. I may have to start looking for a low mileage '10 Alpha for the spring! Then I can have my 3 for the trails and she can have her 3T for around town (and I'll try to steal the keys as often as I can! )

I was worried about warranty issues when I bought the Hummer but it's been good to me. Going out of warranty feels like being liberated from The Man and not having to worry about which dealership can/will do the work now-cuz they won't be doing it.
