Default Front window trim pieces

My front window trim pieces are now a light gray instead of black. Are there any options to make them black or find some used ones?

Every protectant or restorer that I've tried were only a temporary fix. The fading always comes back or the application of the product ends up streaky especially when applied to severely faded trim.

A lot of guys have taken to painting the trim with paint made for plastic like Krylon Fusion.

I'm thinking about PlastiDipping mine.

I can speak for Meguiers
It worked for me and lasts a few weeks
Just a quick wipe down every other weekend to keep the shine

Now Bunger is right, it may streak if the trim is thirsty
Hit it again and buff it in....wait a few hours and repeat

A heat gun can restore black too
*I used a heat gun to remove big scratches from inside plastic moldings

That heat gun trick looks interesting. I might try it.

Some guys have said to try cleaning the trim using a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I might try that too.

I'm NOT using the Meguier's.
I had a bad experience with Meguier's. Seems like the local squirrels have a taste for the stuff. I did some trim on another one of my vehicles and found chew marks the next morning on the areas that I treated.
A friend of mine used Meguier's wax on his car and caught his dog licking the car afterwards.
So NO Meguier's for me.

Hey that explains why they're no kids around here (lol)

Magic Erase is good for getting scuff marks off paint, I dont think it will return BLACK from GREY...but who knows

Heat gun trick works. I just did my sisters Avalanche.
Just be careful not to get to close to the plastic and melt it. Take your time and you can achieve some great results with a relatively inexpensive heat gun from Harbor Freight.
