Yea mine is starting to do the same I honestly don/t think there is a fix for that almost like king tuct beard breaking off there's really no good fix . maybe plastic dip but you lose the chrome. I would really have to research that out. I appreciate it if you let know any solutions worth the price.

my original set did the same, but the previous owners liked to run it on the beach in Galveston, and never wash it when it they were done

figure you get any type of moisture then it freezes in an area of chrome that wasn't bonded well it will start to lift up chip, crack. then it snows they probably use a salt or a brime for the roads that will do it as apposed to a dry climate with no moisture to freeze and no snow. Hopefully GM will take care of ya. I always say expect the worst hope for the best this way you won't be disappointed

went by the Cadillac dealer today and the service dept mgr said that the rep would be by next week and he'd get him to take a look at them, the one under my tire cover on the back is even doing it and it's never been uncovered, he said if he did replace them that it would be hard to find another set of the 18's, said that most dealers had sold their left over stock on ebay or cheap that the dealer years ago. said he might pay for another set of GM truck wheels if there was any i liked.

Factory chrome wheels here, and they are like new, don't really do any maintenance on them apart give them a wash every now and then.

Even got them on my trailer, and they are fine:
