Can the Factory Navgation Headunit play MP3?
I know it would be extremely troublesome to add a ipod aux if you have a monsoon audio.
My problem is, if I make a CD with mp3 files, can the factory nav headunit play the files on the CD?
Otherwise, I might use the FM transmitter to play my mp3, that's disappointing.
I did google it any got no answers.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure about playing Mp3 files or not. I don't have a disk to check...
I have the standard radio, but in my owner's manual, it explains what buttons are used to access MP3 folders for CD's (folder up/down). So I would think there is a stock H3 radio somewhere that does it.
As for adding the ipod, check this link out.
Might be old news - but it might help

There was a short period in 2006 where you could order a radio upgrade (the whole radio) from the factory that could play MP3 cds, but no one ever ordered any, and the option went away. The nav units were never able to play MP3 cds.
