I have the navigation system in the H3 and wanted to add a v-chip for a backup camara. No one was able to give me info on it. But what I did find was a fresnel static lens for the back window. $25 at rearlens.com. I will never have another suv without one. I put it in the upper right hand corner of the back window and can see down to the ground behind the Hummer. Won't drive without it, I loose complete cars and trucks behind me just look through the back window.

yea i was going to get a backup camera and a pac gm interface adapter so it would work with my navigation monitor but it would cost about $440. Now im just gonna order that. Why did you put it in the top right corner? Says it comes with blind spot mirror lenses. good good. 20 bucks.

I put it in the top corner because of the spare. It took up to much space in the center. Even in the corner it still covers whole area behind me and I have a choice to look thru it or the back window. I never put the blind spot side mirrors on. Didn't like the looks and they say they get crappy looking after time.

Thanks Dennis. I glad you ordered one. I want you to be safe. [sm=loveeyes.gif]

If you look closely, the camera is mounted in the hitch. My H2, I had the camera mounted inside, looking down.

I don't know what he has his camera run to but you can run them to almost any screen. I believe they make an interface for hooking up to a factory navigation also if you want to go theat route. I had mine on my dually hooked up to a rear view mirror/screen. when you put the truck in reverse the rear view mirror became a screen that showed what the camera was seeing, pretty cool cause you would backup just like normal but would have a much better view. You can buy small 3.5" screens for pretty cheap that you can mount on your dash or even inside your visor.

I have the Eclipse AVN30D and went down to Circuit City and bought their backup camera that matches the system. It was an easy install... Taking about a half an hour. I mounted mine by taking out one of my license plate screws and mounting it there. The wire runs under the weather stripping around the door then in between the headliner and the side... Just push up on the headliner and you can push the wire in and hide it. Then run it down the A pillar (splicing into one of the wires so it comes on when you put it in reverse) and into the back of the unit. It works great!
