Default Adjust Ride Height?

Hey guys!

Im so mad I got my h3 like 2 months ago. I never really liked the slant look and wanted to adjust it to make it more even with the back. Anyway I just took the h3 for service and told them to check the alignment. Well in any case they ended up lowering the front even more. It looks even more like a hot rod than before. I measured with my friends stock h3 and his is 1 inch higher than mine with the same tires as me.

Question is. Can i take it to the dealer and tell them to make the front even with the back? will they do it? I heard there are two bolts that I can adjust myself to do it and that the dealer will not do it.

How does this affect the ride if I do do this?

Thanks
Jon!

yes there is a bolt u can crank it's the t-bar. i personally did not do that. i put on a ready lift which is normally $230 but i got mine for $50 shiped from a freight recovery service and then took to my custome shop and paid $100 to install it. some people have had good experience with the t-bar crank and others complained that the ride was affected and sometimes it settles again and need to do another crank. also those who cranked the t-bar them self's usually got new shocks on the front so the ride would not be affected. the ready lift retains the factory ride and does not require new shocks or adjustments. so u have 3 choices to level it out
1. t-bar crank
2. t-bar crank plus some new shocks
3. ready lift or something similar

its really what u want to do.u will find some 1 who has done atleast 1 of the options. i did the 3rd which probally is the most expensive unless u find a deal like me whick probally took me 5 months of looking be4 i got lucky. good luck

I used the Ready Lift torsion bars and got the extra lift. Actually, the front end is now 1" higher than the rear end which causes a little problem with the headlights, but I figure when I add the winch to the front it will level it out again.

Here's a shot of how it looks today. It's dirty (just got back from a snow trip to NM), but it gives you the idea. I like the look alot better than the "hot rod" look.

You'll also notice the black grill. I just finished spraying the grill with black bed liner and reinstalled it and the sprayed brush guard. There is now no chrome on the Hummer, except the logos (they are next). I'll probabbly shoot the mirrors with the bed liner as well. Heck, one day I may just shoot the whole darn truck! :-)

I did the t bar crank and it worked well. I also got Bilstein shocks since raising the front extended the old shocks too far. I also got extended bumpstops from Trailduty.com to stop nosedive and rolling during turns. You can find a ton of threads on all of this if you want more info/results.
