Default Removing fuel door

Old subject I'm sure but how do you remove oem fuel door assembly so it can be rechromed? I loosened the three small screws around the filler tube inside the plastic bucket it seemed to loosen the filler tube but not anything else any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's tabs inside the cup, 3 I believe. I need to pull those in to let the whole assembly loose to remove it. I forgot to add that part to the other thread.

pull them inwards to release them. That's how I got the thing out.

Hi LoJac963, are there any pictures to show how to do this? I think it would be helpful for many who doesn't know what they are doing like myself.

I went through all my pics and unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the back of the lid or the bucket. Sorry.

If you open the door and look at the bucket there are slits cut into the bucket towards the front, that is where the tabs are. Once the 3 filler neck screws are removed you need to pull those tabs inward to release the bucket. Everything comes out with the bucket. The door is attached to the bucket itself.
