Anyone put an Optima battery in their H2?
Hello....has anyone replaced their H2 battery an Optima Red Top? If so, which Optima model works in an H2?
I have an '06 H2 SUT and my battery needs replaced. I'm told an Optima would be the better choice
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I see you've already bought the Red Optima, but just my opinion for anyone else looking.
I still have a standard battery in the H2, but I switched to a Yellow Optima in the Viper instead of the red. The Yellow is more powerful and seems to hold up better if it sits for little while and I forget to plug in the Battery Tender (Vipers are notorious for killing batteries after sitting very long (1-2 weeks). If the Yellow will fit, go with it for the extra juice. It's definitely bigger than the Red, but usually not much bigger than a standard battery.
Just my $.02

2nd,,3rd opinion
ive read this a few times, been thinking of a backup batt for my work van. i leave a lite on and sometime have start trbl. id just put it inside with a charge wire and switch etc.
so i asked at advance auto abt the optima. they pointed to the batt guru and he said he and his pals have tried them all and the red holds the best ,long term, hard cranking. side by side.
also said both a waste of money compared to their good, standard batts, unless you require a rugged , mount anyway batt and hes an off road guy, says its not needed,,unlees you roll over a lot!! jfwiw
btw, optima batts,apx $222
