Default timing belt or timing chain?

I'm thinking to buy a H2, but I was the wondering the 6.0 V8 engine running by timing belt or timing chain? when is the time to change? how much that might be cost?
If a 2003 with 70k miles, what I should watch out?
Thanks

Welcome to the site.

6.0 has a timing chain as it's a single cam OHV v8.

@ 70k you should'nt need to mess with the timing chain.

Price checks have to be done on your own.

You should watch out for someone snagging that low mileage H2 from under your feet if you think about it to long. There are not any real deal breaker known issues. Anything you may come across will be listed in the forums.

Keep it stock and your be golden, if you let the mod bug bit you- you'll be pissing away all your money like the rest of us.

If that truck is all stock and good condition, you should be able to get it for 17-20.

LOL @ Japanese cars...

But yes, the H2 is very reliable. The one I owned prior to this used one I put 170K miles on it and it was running like brand new. No Toyota truck with 170K miles will hold up anywhere close to how my truck was. All stock drive train and the interior looked pristine. I did the usual maintenance and kept fresh oil in it and flushed and changed out fluids when needed. If you have not gotten that truck, you should hurry and get it.
The H2 is getting much higher demand in the market in the last few months and their prices are going up.
