Default Should i just upgrade to 2008 or not

So i like my 2006 except for two things.

the ride sucks. The interior creaking and rattling is driving me insane. I'm debating whether i should update to the 08 or if i can fix these issues.

Im not sure what the differences are in the suspension from an 06 to an 08 but the 08 definitely has a much smoother ride. Can updates be made to the 06 to achieve the same results?

Personally i like the interior look of the 06 better than the 08. but the interior noise in the 08 is practically non existent. Has anyone been able to address the noise issues either with dynamat or some other method? I am also a bit confused as to the origin of some of the noises. Some of the posts i have read seem to point to creaking being a result of the actually weld seams in various panels.

any input is appreciated.

Like many here I used the magic of 3M tape .. Works I would said 65% but still noisy ..

If I had the money
If 08 came in Orange
Then I would upgrade but still will miss the 06 interior

I want an '08 terribly bad! But the cheapest one on eBay is 85% higher than what I paid for my '05. Its just not justifiable at this time of my life (college student with two vehicles, and I pay for everything, including school.)

And then I question myself that if I did have $30-35k, whether i'd want a '08 H2, or a fancy '09 Hybrid Escalade? The Hummer is my ultimate favorite SUV though, no question!

Exactly how I feel. I would buy an '08 if they had them in Fusion Orange and I had the extra $$$

If you can swing an 08 or 09 I say do it. They should hold their value real well.

NITE & day Difference! Interior AND Engine! NO Comparison! 6.0 to 6.2! Do i need to say More! Lol! I've had the older version & now have the 08' & i CANNOT think of 1 reason i'd go back! jmo! GL! i got the 08' because that was the ONLY color i wanted & the 08' & 09' are identical EXCEPT about a 10k $$$$ difference Just because it's a year newer!

I think I've already decided on buying an 08. Was just hopping some one could speak up if they new of good options for addressing the noise and ride issues. Updating what I already have is preferable to selling and then buying a more expensive vehicle if the same results could be achieved for a lot less money.
