whatsup guys im new here. i just bought a 03 h2 2 weeks and i love it. i know on the newer H2's they have lights in the corners of the bumpers and i was wondering if anyone has ever put them on an 03. if so did you need a new harness or is it a simple splice in job?

Default Corner Lights

Hello Friend,
I also have an 03'.
If you purchase the corner lights, remember there is a Left and a Right light assembly.
Although they come with mounted bulbs, they DO NOT come with the external connector plug.
The light assembly just has the protruding connector prongs just like the other lights on the truck.
You need to purchase separately the external connector plug which connects to the light assembly which inturn needs to be spliced into the vehicles existing harness.
The best hook-up can be done at the harness wires going the Trailer Hitch.
You would need to disconnect the Trailer Hitch connector from the bumper to allow you to bring the connector down from behind the bumper with more slack, then you can splice the light assembly wires to the harness behind the bumper.
I suggest before you mount anything back to the vehicle, you check the signals and brake lights to ensure your connections are correct and they are working as they should be.
The YELLOW wire is the: Left Stop / Turn Signal.
The DARK GREEN wire is the: Right Stop / Turn Signal.
The BROWN wire is the: Tail lamps.
The WHITE wire is the: Ground.
The LIGHT GREEN wire is the: Back-up Lamps
The LIGHT BLUE wire is the: Center High Mounted Stop Lamp
The RED wire is the: Battery Feed
The DARK BLUE wire is the: Trailer Brake

Default Bumper lights

Hello Friend,
The Harness may work because the light connectors are present.
I beleive this harness goes connected to an existing harness on an already equipped truck.
But in your case, you have to trace the wires and see which is the left and right then do your splice.
The bumper corner is the same as your existing bumper corner except this one has the cut-out for the light assembly.
You can probably trace out the light assembly on your existing bumper corner and cut it out yourself.
Check to make sure there is no obstruction behind the bumper where the light assembly goes mounted.
Ensure there is just plastic or plastic on top of metal.
Then make your necessary preparations for mounting.

yea thats what i was unsure of whether that harness is for already equipped trucks or if that was the harness to equip yours. i was thinking about cutting mine as well the only thing is the replacement peice seems to have a housing inside that im not sure i will be able to cut accurately. tracing shouldn't be to hard either. thanks for all the info man really appreciate it!!
