I just bought a oem backup camera system on eBay & have a few questions for anybody with this option or someone who bought this set up. How big is the monitor? Is it in the rear view mirror or does it go through the nav screen? Where does the backup camera mount? Anyone have any pictures of this setup? Has anyone installed this setup themselves? My wife's 2007 has it. The monitor slides out of the right side of the rear view mirror.

The camera is mounted right above the trailer hitch....

IF, I was installing it myself, I would try to get it higher....

it's a good system, that could have been better.

 

oh.... I believe that there is an adapter that will put it through the Nav system....

Thanks for the reply. I don't think the monitor pops out the side as I have seen that rear view mirror on this site. It looks different to me. The one that pops out the side has a on star button on the rearview mirror. This one does not? I kinda want to fab the camera mount to go on stare tire carrier...I will let you guys know how I make out when I do the install.
