All: First post here. I bought a 2003 H2 about 2 months ago. It has a 3 button key fob. I have had GM vehicles in the past with remote start, they had a 4th button that looked like an arrow bent into a circle. You pushed it and the car started. Not seeing this option on my fob led me to believe I did not have remote start. To my surprise I parked my truck this weekend and locked it with my remote. I inadvertently pushed the lock button I believe 3 times. The truck magically started! I have reproduced this scenario and when I get in the truck I put the key in and away I go. The odd thing is the dash has a light on during this operation that shows a little pic of a truck and a pad lock. Today I attempted this and the truck would not stay running. The light would not go out. I seemed to have remedied the issue by turning the key to the on position, putting the truck into drive, which cycled the door locks. Waited a few minutes and used the key to start. No light no problem. The question what is the correct combination of button presses is required to use this mystery remote start without causing the truck to disable itself with its factory security system.
