My H2 on 40" tires, ready to go check out that Eyjafjallajökull :-)
My H2 on it's 39.5 inch super swampers, on 16.5"d 15" wide rims with 14cm offset. No modifications to suspension, just some cottin in the back of the front fenders, done by the http://icecool.is/ shop.
The trick in driving on glaciers is to deflate the tires down to around 3-4 psi, and not to exert too much pressure on the snow and effectively float on the surface.
At the moment the area around the volcano is still a hazard zone, so i guess i'll have to wait until it calms down a bit.

Here's one of my customer's h2 rigs that has only a torsion bar lift in the front... The look is sweeet!
325 85 r16 Michelin XML military tires.
Of course, these are very rare... So Goodyear MT OZ 37 12.50 16.5 is another awesome looking option.
