Default I need some serious advice!! H2 w rust problems????

Hi everyone, i recently purchased a H2, and it came from Michigan. I guess the dealership were i bought it masked the problem by painting the under carriage black, but now some of the paint is coming off and there is rust throughout the under carriage, is this harmful, it looks like crap, what can i do to get rid of it and make it look nice again???

I would appreciate any suggestions that anyone could help with!!

God Bless,

Greg

What year??

Is it rotted through?? or just surface rust??

Frames are not cheap... but if you got a great deal on it then.... maybe it all works out...

if it isjust surface rust... then get it blasted and properly undercoated or painted... or if it isn't that bad then you can scrape it off and rattle can it...

a picture would be a great help honestly...

wow, those didn't even turn into red x's. []

just scrape off the crap that's flaking and hit it with some rustoleum. or take it out and scrape it down on some boulders, then use some rustoleum. unless the rust is deep, moving it to CA will help keep it from getting worse.

Even in the harshest michigan winters there's not enough salt to do any structural damage to the frame. I know what you're talking about being from MI all my life. That's why I purchased mine from NC. They are absolutely correct. A little elbow grease w/a wire brush and some rattle can flat black and you'll be proud once again of your rig.
