Is there more than one fuel pump on a h2? And where is the fuel filter located?

Try swaping your camshaft position sensor. Had this happen to me a couple of years ago. There was no check engine light just died. Started up after it died a couple of time and i thought it was a fluke. Ended up being the Camshaft position sensor.

Well there is only 3 reasons a car doesnt run. Air, Fuel, or Spark. You can check fuel with a pressure gauge. You can check air and make sure you filter isnt clogged. Most problems are Spark due to all of the electical components. pull a plug and have it hooked up and see if you ar getting spark. Then work your way backwards. Without a check engine light your only bet is to swap sensors that control spark. Crankshaft and camshaft position sensors are what distributorless ignitions use to determine when to spark. If this is faulty then you have no spark. For the $50 to change the sensors i would just try them first. Since you have no repair shop to bring it to.

Agree with AKDropm, just have to go through the steps, check that your getting fuel (filter is on left hand side roughly under the driver seat along the frame rail) fuel pump is in the tank.

I ran into similar mystical stoppings, on lights, on the highway etc. I replaced fuel pump, crank pos sensor etc etc.
It turned out to be water in the PCM connector, some of the pins had oxydation on them one of them being the fuel pump relay control. Took about 15 minutes to fix with a little rubbing alcohol.

I can't find the specs on the Hummer but on a 6.0L chevy express 3500 van its 55-62 psi. no more and no less. Same engine.
