Default [SOLVED] How to tighten up loose a/c vents?

My front vents are fine (at this time) and hold their position with a slight "snap" to direct air in a direction. Hitting bumps do not make them move.
Now my rear vents are way loose and move all over the place.

Does anyone have any instructions on how to tighten these up? I see there are videos on youtube regarding Honda Civic vents and standard vents but nothing like the hummer "tit" vents

How about trying to glue a piece of black felt on the vent or the socket to give it a bit of friction?

I was thinking about that but was hoping someone would say ...
Yeah I had this problem too and I disconnected the vent this way and blah blah blah

but black felt might be the answer.

It is priority 99 at the moment so I will keep bumping this for another week with hope

I would be scared to break them. I think felt would be an easy fix. I dont know how they pop out or how how they could be adjusted. Good luck and im curious about the fix.

I just bought new ones for $26 each then sold my old ones on eBay for practically same price. I actually have 3 more new ones.

Are you talking about the whole assembly or the "orb" within the socket?
If you are talking about the "orb", how do you take them out?

Yes the orb. You have to squeeze it and they come right out. They are only held in place by one notch on each side. Very easy.
