Help fixing small leak

Default Help fixing small leak

Found this today when I lifted hood. I think it's attached to the water pump. You can see where the water has been seeping out. I was wondering if that is a threaded tube that screws into water pump and someone has put a load of that red gunge on the thread but it's given way. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

kinda looks like the thermostat housing... hard to tell from that angle though...

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't seem like the thermostat housings that i'm used to.
This looks like a tube with a rubber hose going to it. Looks like it goes into water pump.

Hi there the tube you see is pressed there as it where you need to change the water pump.

I was wondering if it was threaded in there. That sucks. So i need a water pump ??

No it is not threaded .. it is pressed

Yes you need to replace this pump. This pump is not expensive . I think i give about 150 dollar here in sweden .
