Going to install the H1 wheels & tires..

That is true. There is a guy local to me who is recentering the H1 wheels but he wants $1,800 for a set which is absolutely ridiculous for wheels which normally go for around $80 each. I mean a $1,500 profit....that's insane.

Gosh dang yall to heck!!! I thought I had aftermarket rims/tires picked out. But now Im really considering my original idea of H1's.

So I guess my only concern at this point is what's the best place to order them from? Sure I can save prolly a $100 bucks buying the tires and rims separate but I want to roll them off the pallet and onto my truck. (After a good cleaning of course)

Dennis, the places Ive found are ralleequip in Texarkana, Bigfoot in S FL, militarytires in GA, alpha tread in AZ, and trail worthy fab in KS. There are others but these seem to be the big names thrown around a lot in my research.
Lojac, price? whered you get them at? pics when you get them?

Of everything I keep peering over and over, I keep coming back to the H1's. I found a picture on photobucket the sealed the deal for me. Im going to go with the PVC inserts from TWF to save some weight. I also, will be posting pics soon. Going to get them from rallequip more than likely.
Here is that picture I found.

I believe he is a member on CHO. We chatted quite a while when he first installed them because I was interested in them as well.
Those are the 24 bolt offset rims which are the strongest out there and the only ones I would recommend.

100Dollarman - Military Surplus Home! sells the H1 steel wheels and tires also.
I've read those 8-lug wheels you want to stay away from like the plague. Don't quote me on this but I believe at 70PSI each bolt is under something like 20,000 pounds of pressure, either that or its the front plate is under that type of pressure.
With the 8-bolt wheels I read if one of them sheers off they all will. There was actually a mechanic in training here in AZ working on a set some guys bought for their tractors. Tightened one too tight, it sheered and the front plate flew off almost decapitating the guy, obviously he died at the scene.
The best military wheels are the ones in the pics above, the 24 bolt OFFSET wheels. You'll notice the bolts are in pairs for a total of 24. They are the strongest wheels you can find.
