Default Front differential case compatibility

Hello again, I am looking for the front case I spun the pinion bearing and need a new one.. Not as much fun as gearnading in on the trail but still sucks as bad. My question is are they the same if its 9.25 ifs or different to the hummer below is what I found at Randy's ring.. So when looking used would any case work or only hummers?????
PS putting in 4.88s already bought so just need case not owrried about gears

yes your running the 9.25 case. I would try to stick with a hummer case but if you have to the chevy 2500hds run the same case but with no front locker. (you may have to check me on that one)

well, there is no stock locker in the front diff unless you or someone else isntalled it. the H2 only has a locker in the rear end.

so, that should open your options.

well I putting in the 4.88s and I can use the carrier out of my H so I am only worried about the CASE itself is there anything different on the Hs like ribs for heat or something because its AWD instead of part time like most on that list thats in the link I posted

I have 2000 suburban 3/4 ton 4x4 and a 2004 H2. The front diff in the Sub is just like the one in the 2500HD pickups, I just did a swap to a 4.10 front diff. After looking around under the H2, the front diff is different. The H2 has a mount which attaches it to the crossmember below it, the standard 3/4 ton diff does not have that style mount. I believe you will have to go with an H2 case.

Are you running a lift kit or stock suspension?

If your lifted, some of the kits cut **** off the front diff. Might open up more replacement possibilities.
