OK, good looking out on everyone who helped me in the exhaust system decision and thanks for all your advise.

Getting some emissions work done in the next week or so and this led me to a new question: when the new exhaust system goes in with headers and such, it ain't gonna have O2 sensors and a catalytic convertor, so since those systems will be deleted ( I am guessing, as none of the exhaust systems I find include any descriptions about retaining those items), how do you keep the CHECK ENGINE light from coming on or the OBD system in the onboard computer from activating it?

Seems to me that once the system is installed, along with the new intake system, that the computer will need a re-mapping or reprogrammed. Anyone know how this will work?

you could always try O2 sims, I'm not sure if anyone sells them for the hummer's specifically but you may be able to find some for the HD's. They just plug into the factory harness where the O2 sensors would plug in, tuck them away and the computer should be happy.
