Default Driver's side mirror

So I was checking the automatic folding mirrors function today. The passenger's side works fine, the driver's does not work at all. You can manually move it back and forth, no clicks, no catches. I tried resetting it like the manual said but no luck.

Anyone else have this issue? Any fixes?

Thanks

No fixes. You will have to find one out there that folds. I bought 2 mirrors 2 years ago and never installed them and not knowing if they worked or not. Installed them today and I scored big time. They both fully work with electronic fold and the mirror movements. I got both for $150 off craigslist. just an fyi, this truck is also an 2005 with all chrome smooth backings. I just ordered aftermarket caps which have H2 on them, I will paint them black and install. The newer model mirrors come with the chrome H2 insert, the mirrors I have are the older models.

My '04 has the newer style mirrors so the PO must have installed them. They work great. I guess they just bolt right on. Something to consider.

Also, they changed to an "Improved" mirror after the 05 model. The new replacement has the Chrome H2 on the mirror back. I bought my 05 earlier this year (64,000) miles and the passenger mirror did not fold. I replaced with 2 new mirrors so they would match. My OEMs had the smooth chrome back. My Driver side worked fine and would match yours (If you have the chrome backs) I just boxed up and stored away. Shoot me a PM if intrested.....

Do you have more details on these? Make, model, etc

Nope, PO had it done at the dealer. Mine doesn't have a chrome back, though. Looking at this page for an '04, there are 9 mirrors listed, some old style, some new. They are noted as 60º and vertical post.

Seems as if HUMTECH is an actual H tech, maybe he will weigh in.
