My console squeeks and rattles, especially when you put your arm on it. I thought it was in the locking mechanism, so I sprayed some T-9 in there and that didn't help. Sprayed the hinges, that didn't help. The only thing I can figure is that the noises are coming from the rear side of the lid where it touches the rear a/c vent humps. Anyone had this or know how to fix this? I've thought about getting some black gasket material and glueing it in to see if it would help.

Any ideas is greatly appreciated.

 

I don't imagine there would be much you could do to fix it, mines currently getting the brake booster replaced so I can't check mine for reference, once I do get it back I'll tell you the amount of noise mine makes, but you may possible have to simply live with the noise or replace, but I'll check.

 

I think I'm going to glue in some thin black gasket material and see if it stops. It sounds like plastic to plastic. Drive's me nuts! I've tightened all screws to the lid and even took the whole damn thing apart, but everything seems to be coming from the lid. Any help you can throw my way is much appreciated!
