Default Cold air intake

Hey guys I posted 2 weeks ago I baught a 2008 H2 and I thought I did but some how it feel through even though I signed everything. So I baught the 2007 that was next to it monday. I was wondering if it was a good idea to put a cold air intake on it. everything I have read tells me this is good for my engine thats if you get the right and dont have a lead foot. more options that were prestented to me were magna flow exast and dinomax system should I do this.

If so does anyone have any pictures?

There aint no way you are getting 1.7 more MPG with a CAI. I was going to post that you should save your money but thought better of it. The Magnaflow is a good addition though.

Im still confused as to what model he bought, but agree that an exhaust needs to be installed as well to maximize the benefits of a CAI.

I have a 2008 with a B&B exhaust and a CAI. I really don't track the MPG's so cannot comment.

The truck sounds great and drives with a lot more pep. Probably not worth the money in gas savings, and not the most practical use of $$$... But lets face it, these are Hummer's, not much practical about them!!!

I ran one of his systems on my 5.3L Yukon and loved it.

Shopping for an H2 now and def intend on going with BB again, good stuff there.

What CAI are you using?

I have the Volant CAI and an Airaid throttle body spacer. Not sure how much if any the throttle body spacer does for performance/mpg/etc...

The total package with the exhaust works for me

Sounds like a win win situation. Your wife gets an increase in MPG (however minimal) and you get the performance/sound you're looking for.

My '04 has Magnaflow duel exhaust, Edlebrock headers, and an AEM Brute Force Dry flow CAI. Nothing gained worth of mpg's, but it sounds wicked and runs a heck of a lot better!
