It's easier from the bottom. Drop the skid plate and you have a lot of room to work.
It's probably easier to remove both serpentine belts, and to get to the engine belt it's easier to remove that sick seagull air intake. It makes getting to the tensioner and routing the belt a lot easier.
Hopefully you are going to recover the refrigerant vs releasing it into the environment.
