Default Air suspension trouble

Hi all

One of my customers is the happy owner of a 2006 H2 with air suspension. But unfortunately, he has some problems with it. The height sensor in the right side broke, resulting in the car leaning to the right. We replaced the sensor, and the H2 aligned itself again. Perfect. But after 4 weeks, the Hummer started leaning to the right side again. We inspected the sensors, but they seem fine. The air bag in the left side is at max height, while the air bag in the right side is "empty". It is very soft, and has let go of the plate on the rear axle (see pic). When we press the switch in the dash, the compressor doesn't start. When we press the switch in the rear compartment, the compressor doesn't start either.

Is this a compressor problem, air bag problem or sensor problem?

Living in Denmark, there are no Hummer dealers anymore, so we can not take the Hummer to the dealer. Will an el-cheapo scanner from ebay help us to diagnose? Or can anyone recommend s scanner that will work and give us actual info on the Hummer?

start with the basics if you have not already....

is the fuse to compressor good? Do you have B+ at the compressor?

There is a good chance that the bag let go and the compressor burned up... but make sure the basics are covered.

I do believe the fuse is good. Checked the fuses I think could be the ones for the compressor. Should there be B+ all the time or only when the switch is activated? There is no voltage when the switch is not pressed

Sounds like you lost the right side bag, most of the time when the compressor goes out you will loose it all left and right sides together. If there is no GM dealer around with there scan tool I would try to reset the computer. Disconect the battery for 10 min or so then reconnect. See if the compressor comes back on then. And as above make sure all fueses are ok first. Worth a try.. C
