Default 8lug to 6lug adapter

Hello. I'd like to buy 24 ou 26"s for my H2, but 8lug wheels are more hard to find at good prices (and also models that please me), so I was thinking of using an adapter from 8lug to 6lug like this one:

http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Ada.../8650-6550.htm

Has anyone used adapters, and can tell me if there is any con?

Thanks

I know that when you move the geometery of the wheels out even an inch with even stock height 35's it adds undo stress on the suspension components and premature wear. I see H1's and they advertise custom wheels which is a huge problem on them as well as the aftermarket wheels are not built for the weight of the Hummers in most cases.

Tbarrow is correct. 6 lug wheels that big are not made for 6500 pound hummers. spend the money and do it correctly and use forged wheels if its in your budget or you will be bending wheels alot like ive seen on other trucks.

I was going to opt out for the adapters because I got a really good deal buying wheels straight from factory, but they don't sell any model in 8lug, so I though about doing the conversion, because I'm not from USA, I'm from PT, and getting for example 26" wheels shipped here from the USA + custom taxes, would be about 4-5K$, and that is without tires, and wheels of a not known brand.. And these ones although they are not from a known brand either, I was going to get the 26" for about 989€ (1300$)... As you can see the difference is very big, and also, here the salaries are like 5 times lower than yours, so it is a BIG difference in price.

Regards

I think using those adapters is going to cost you alot more in the end. Do it right or dont do it at all.

85-305 you can totally catch more bees with honey than vinegar man. chill out there a lil buddy. Butt, I have to in a way agree with 85.....

BTT
Hummeron37's is totally right! Going from an 8 luck to 6 is a VERY bad idea!!!!! 8 Lug hubs are made to handle the weight of a loaded 3/4 Ton truck. Now keep in mind your H2 weighs more about 1000lbs. more than an empty 3/4 ton truck. 6 Lugs wheels were made for 1/4 ton trucks.....way lighter duty...

Good thinking! There's a reason so many lugs are used. These H2's are heavvvvy and are not to be taken unseriously. They are truly tanks guys.
